Today's quotes

I think both of these quotes are absolutely perfect for the theme of this update today:

This one sent to me by Don L:

"The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain."
-- Dolly Parton

And this one sent by Ric B.:

"People will throw stones at you. Don't throw them back. Collect them all and build an empire."

I'm really upset

Since last Friday's update, I have very seriously considering resigning from this project... Having my lawyer draft a letter to the seller, the board, and my partner,  announcing my resignation and transferring 75% of my proceeds to my partner, Garry, in exchange for his management of my side of this deal.

Here's why I have been thinking about this...

Last Friday's update I mentioned a video done by the seller where he told an initial and very small group mostly Canadian residents that he was fully anticipating a closure by the end of the first quarter.  Obviously meaning the end of this month / March.

He of course went on to say in the video, he expected his company to receive closing proceeds by the end of March and then payment to those early Canadian investors sometime shortly thereafter.

In my comments about this I mentioned the video was five minutes long. Understand, I dictate these updates and when originally dictated I used the word 'few' but somehow it became five, and this minor stupid issue somehow became proof positive to the idiots amongst us that I am therefore an incontrovertible liar because I said the video was five minutes long and actually it was about 20 minutes long. And every one of those idiots had to send me an email letting me know how terrible a person I am.

Let me share with you an analogy:

I want you to understand what I'm dealing with so let me share a parable or story...

Let's just suppose that you have been selected as the sole remaining candidate in your final interview with the CEO of a Fortune 100 company.  This interview, upon a successful conclusion would land you a job guaranteed to change your financial future and your family's financial future forever.

In this example, this is the dream job you have prayed for all your life. You have the skill sets, you will excel in this position, and you know in your heart of hearts this is your next move, and it is your next job.

In fact, at your last interview with human resources you were told, "the job is yours to lose."

So you drive downtown, park a couple blocks away, and begin towards your new destiny.

You are less than one minute from the door and out from the alley steps a man with a gun, pointing it at your head, demanding your wallet, all your valuables, all your jewelry, everything of value that you possess and carry at that moment in time.

You are in fear and rightly so, of your life. You find yourself handing over everything to this scumbag while praying he does not pull that trigger.

Now it's done, it's over, back into the alley he quickly recedes, and you are left to open the door of the office building, ride the elevator to the top floor and meet with the CEO - all the while possessing a positive mental attitude, enthusiasm and a determination to be the best you can be and land this dream job for life.

Do you think you could do it?

Do you think after having been violated, scared out of your wits, demoralized, and shaken to the core, you could still be the same positive person you were five minutes before?

I share this analogy with you as every single day I have 2, 3, 4 high level VIP meetings all relative to this deal.

And yet, no less than 20 times a day, I receive a letter accusing me of being a liar, or questioning my credibility, questioning this deal, asking me to explain what I meant in the last update, etc., etc., etc.

And I receive no less than a dozen phone calls a day and they are all pretty much the same, you know, "Mike can you read to me the last update, I didn't understand it." Or, "can you tell me something about the deal you are not allowed to speak about?" Or, "can you tell me what you're going to talk about in the next update?"

I hope you see where I am going here....

It is immensely difficult to stay up, passionate, witty, enthusiastic, all while putting my best managerial skills forward to the benefit of this deal.

Would you believe there is even a group of people who think, because I am starting and launching a new business, this is proof positive that I know the deal isn't closing?

Otherwise with all the money I receive why would I need to make more?

These people simply do not know, it's not their fault, but they are not part of the 1%.

Why didn't Warren Buffet quit after he made his first 25 billion dollars? Who needs more?

The answer is simple, buying businesses and making money is what he does. He is in his element when he does so.  At 91 years old Warren Buffet is still going strong. You see he understands this principal:

If you have the ability and the skill set to make more money, lots of it, you also have the obligation to do so, so that in the end either while you are alive or afterwards you can pass along your vast accumulation of wealth to help make the world a better place.

(You do not need to have 25 billion dollars to belong to the 1%.)

How about Jeff Besos? The second wealthiest man in the world. He built Amazon to a juggernaut, which now functions on automatic pilot and he turned it over to his top people to maintain the company while he pursues other passions, I repeat "passions" that drive him and the 1%.

I'm not quitting

Relax - despite so many people being an absolute PIA, I'm not going anywhere.

I have come to realize these people represent a small puddle (actually a mud puddle), compared to the beautiful blue ocean of people who 'get it.'  They support me, they appreciate my sacrifices, and they are with me to the end.

Be advised

From this day forward I will no longer answer any email, not even acknowledge receipt of it, if it asks me any questions about payment, clarification of what was said in an update (trust the content in spite of the grammar), or to referee between sponsors and groups, any email containing anything negative even just a word or two (in fact I will not read those anymore).

Why?... I must stay up mentally with all the enthusiasm I can muster for those VIP meetings on the 'top floor.'

On one other minor note... Do not ask me for the video the seller did with the celeb! I do not have it. I was told about it by the seller and he specifically asked me not to send it to my partners. Primarily because he is very well aware how some people want to take and twist and turn everything I say or do into something ugly.

I'm sure you have noticed at the top of every update is an email and phone number for Ivan. This being said, please practice courtesy when deciding whether or not, to call or send Ivan another email. For every 1 email we get about a particular topic there are at least 10 more asking the same basic question.

This is for those PIA people: LET US DO OUR JOBS, PLEASE!

Also, for the PIA 'mud puddle' crowd, all they need to do is ask themselves these questions:

1) Why would anyone in their right mind make such claims for an enormous payout if not indeed authorized at some time by the Board through this process.

2) Why would anyone in their right mind make themselves so visible for so long, with their complete name, not some fictitious name (a strategy used by scammers) all the while making their phone number, business address, even bank accounts, public information.

Any thief, any con man, would have to be the dumbest thief alive to be so visible.

I make no apologies for the length of this update and the topic I cover.

Russia / Ukraine

A number of questions have come in so I will address this.

The war between Russia and Ukraine does not impact what we are doing AT ALL.

If South Korea were being invaded, by all means I would already be talking about it

Our deal

All I can tell you today is what I told you Friday, except a little extra...

The seller has indeed on camera, expressed his intent to reach closure by the end of this month.

And I can tell you most assuredly from my most recent VIP meetings, there is a flurry of activity going on right now to get us there.

Thank you for hearing me out, I appreciate it.

And realize, I just thought you should know what I'm dealing with daily / hourly, and I am certainly not accusing you of being any part of it.

Regarding phone calls and emails... PLEASE!

The reason I send these updates is to keep EVERYONE up to date on WHAT I CAN SHARE, all at the same time.

Please allow me to keep you up to date with what I CAN tell you as things develop, through these updates (meaning, please no calls or emails about this update).
